Truth Be Told

Change. We fear it. We deny it. We disguise it. We seek comfort from it.

We hide underneath a constructed sense of certainty that can be so wrong and dishonest that we can't even lift our heads from under the covers and see truth.

What is real then? Why do we mechanize ourselves to defend against truth and alter our perceptions? What do we rely on then to give us this truth and wake us up from a scared slumber underneath the covers.

This is why we need change. It's not always about making sense of all of the changes, but finding what is constant within them. Truth is consistent and supercedes change in a very unimaginable way. It is therefore of a nature that we cannot touch upon. We can produce change to find truth, but we cannot create truth. It exists beyond our control and is bestowed upon us through revelation and experience, often amid uncertainty. We need to be uncertain. We need things to be "up in the air" to let the divine nature of truth grab the uncertainty and shower us with true knowledge.

Nothing in the material can lend us this. Nothing in the tangible can show us these truths. They are not bound to time and they are not bound to space. The further we stray from seeking life through "things", we start to find the real thing, the real reasons that fuel us on a level that no physical satiation can. We are not machines. In essence, we are truth seekers. We must therefore disregard what is transient and seek what is eternal. Even though the reward is not in front of our eyes to see, we must continue in faith that the reward is seen by the soul and satiated in truth. We must trust in our paths to truth which are often covered in complete darkness but we feel that we are walking even though we cannot see our steps. We simply are not following the lights that are constant instead we are following the ones that can die and fade.

We fear change because we fear our own finite, transient natures that can be so affected by change. If we can recognize that truth, eternity, and infinity are not beyond our reach though cannot be sought for through tangibility, then fear dissipates into a dust we can blow into the wind.

Don't rely on what you see. There is much goodness in change if we let truth rearrange our steps to eternity.
