Illusionary Thinking

Do we truly all think we are automatically immune to illusionary thoughts? Why does the simple sense of sight lend us so much certainty? Human nature falls victim to cases of sensual arrogance. Such precedence we give to the physical. Such loyalty we have to the flesh. Yet there is truth in this. As I believe there are elements of truth in all things (whether it is more symbolic than literal, interspersed in the grey areas we all flee from in fear of uncertainty) To even separate the mind and body would also be illusionary thinking. The point is, on every level, segregation and separation never seems to breed anything too positive. Even extreme beliefs of all forms lead to demise. It need not be extreme. It is all laid before us. It's just that our senses are not able to pick up on the truth in such a clear and vivid way. Instead, knowledge and truth reaches us in sometimes seemingly unrecognisable forms. Mind is our interpreter. Body is our basic receptor. We need both. Mind makes up body. Body encloses mind in a vessel of experience we can so freely choose to steer in the direction of our purpose. The Hindus call it Maya- Illusion. I never thought I would come to say that "Seeing is believing" is complete hogwash but I do not have eternal faith in my physical senses, though I do have eternal faith in knowledge and experience and the immateriality of true existence. I don't want to be a thinker of illusion. I don't want to be deceived even in the midst of deception. Perhaps truth is a colour we cannot yet see at a frequency that the radars of our vessels are not yet equipped to pick up on.

It's hard to see anything as separate anymore. My thoughts and senses seem to be unconsciously molding everything into one. I'm no different than the fly that was with me in the room today. It has an energy. It has a value. In an equation of the totality of energy in the room, it would be a factor. How could anything be ignored in knowing such simple logic? Well, for one, our senses often ignore unknowingly. As though we are pre-programmed to be inclined to obliviousness. As far as I am concerned, few are truly 'aware' in all 'senses' of the word. But such is the process of life- to become aware, to be unified, to release the Self in efforts to fulfill a purpose beyond mere desire or physical necessity.

True discovery will never be right before our eyes. We are microcosms of the universe- always expanding, revolving, and existing in the midst of Infinity. It is a beautiful thought to think that each and every night we shut our eyes to sleep. Though the closing of our eyes is always the same motion, it is never the same experience. Our minds are in different places even from the progression of a simple day. We are one step closer to Infinity. It's not our senses preparing us. It is our experiences on a different level that are.

Imagine a slideshow of your thoughts being played before you moment by moment. Treasure your thoughts. Conserve them and surround them with depth and positivity and earnest curiosity. Illusionary Thinking is when your Eyes have taken precedence over your Mind. Our eyes can only see bit by bit and naturally will separate images into the limit we can take in through our optical abilities. But our minds can see in a much more unlimited way unbound by anything physical and unbound by bias if we release the Self the world sees and substitute in the Self that the universe is.
